What you need to know
My style of supervision is trying to empower you to create your own style while making sure clients receive quality care. Clinical work is a lot of grey and usually multiple solutions to situations that may come up. I don't feel being "cookie cutter" is best for everyone and I want you to bring your unique talents and views to your clinical practice.
Per State of Texas requirements you must complete 100 hours of supervision over a 24 month period while also completing 3,000 hours of social work practice. With those 3,000 hours 4 hours a week must be clinical (giving diagnoses, treatment planning, biopsychosocial assessments, etc.) If your job currently does not include these things there are some options and we can discuss at your initial interview. Sessions are done online with a group of other social workers all bringing cases to discuss and review as a method of learning.
